29 Years Ago Today.....

I was born! (Yay-Happy Birthday To Me) And I'm pretty sure the world hasn't been the same since!

 

Although there is plenty to celebrate, today has been pretty low key and I'm am perfectly fine with that.  I've been spending my special day with the two most important people in my life (one who just so happens to share this milestone date with me and turns 3 weeks old today ♥) The day has been filled with love, naps, cake (but of course), sitcom re-runs and RENT playing on starz.

Pretty perfect if you ask me!

Well.....

I'm a Mommy!!!!!

Hence my lack of posts in the new year (which I hope is off to a great start for everyone)

Mr. M & I welcomed our little girl into the world at 11:09A.M. on January 3rd.  Labor was an experience to say the least and probably the most painful thing that I have ever experienced in my entire life (WHAT?!!? I gotta be honest..lol) but it was oh so worth it and although I may be a little biased I'm pretty sure I gave birth to the cutest little girl in the entire world.  She arrived a little earlier than we expected, I was actually due Saturday (1/12) but thank goodness, we had everything ready for her arrival. 

Adjusting to motherhood has been an adventure thus far and involves A LOT of sleep-less nights, dirty diaper changing, picture taking (my cell phone will be out of memory in no time) and cuddling (the very best part) and I couldn't be happier. Mr. M and I are absolutely head over heels in love with this little miracle that we created. 

So while it's a little belated at this point... Happy New Year everyone, I hope 2013 is full of life, love and happiness for you.  

Now I'm off to cuddle with the two loves of my life...

So this weekend Mr. M. & I were thrown a huge baby shower by our families.  It was the last big event before the arrival of our baby girl and totally helped to get us prepared for the big day.  It was such a nice time with plenty of food, fun, and of course presents.  I swear this little girl is spoiled rotten and she isn't even here yet!! LOL

It really was a great day!

We are SO blessed to have such a loving group of family and friends!

 

Really?!?!

I really can't believe how quickly time flies....we are almost halfway through December and I am totally unprepared...Is it sad to say that Mr. M and I haven't put up one single solitary Christmas decoration beside two stockings hanging sad and lonely from our railing?!!? LOL...I will spare you a photo of that.  I do have every intention of putting up a tree but sadly I don't even think that's going to happen until late next week. 

Lately we have been strictly in baby prep mode as we are happily expecting our baby girl in 4 more weeks!!! OMG...I can't believe that in about a month, I will be a mommy...YIKES!! Its such an exciting and scary time...I'm sure the closer we get to the big day, I'll be a nervous, rambling, smiling, mess.  Things are slowly falling into place so while we might not ever be totally "ready" or prepared for all of the surprises that parenthood will bring us...we are SO ready to welcome her to a loving and welcoming home, along with a fully prepared and decorated nursery (I promise as soon as it's done, I'll be posting tons of photos of the cuteness ☺)
