Early morning moments....

♡ so it's a little after 1am and I'm laying here holding a wide awake baby trying to rock her to sleep... it doesn't look like she has any intention on going any time soon!

♡ and you know what?? Deep down inside...I am secretly okay with this...I love this time I have just me & her.

♡ it's amazing to me how little sleep a person can get and still manage to be a functioning member of society.

♡ I will admit it... I am addicted to instagram!!

♡ there is a container of snickers ice cream in the freeze SCREAMING my name right now but I am entirely too lazy to go get some.  A sign maybe??

♡ I have every intention of rejoining weight watchers soon or atleast committing to My FitnessPal (its a budget thing)

♡ BUT... I'm nursing and "dieting" is not really recommended.

♡ I am sooo not upset by that...lol. great thing is... I'm already down below my pre-pregnancy weight. Yay!

♡ I went shopping yesterday for the first time in a looooong time. It felt strange and exciting all at the same time.

♡ but 2 shirts and 3 nail polishes later,  it felt...right! Lol

♡ okay.. I'm off to resume operation 'get baby to sleep'.. wish me luck!

29 Years Ago Today.....

I was born! (Yay-Happy Birthday To Me) And I'm pretty sure the world hasn't been the same since!

 

Although there is plenty to celebrate, today has been pretty low key and I'm am perfectly fine with that.  I've been spending my special day with the two most important people in my life (one who just so happens to share this milestone date with me and turns 3 weeks old today ♥) The day has been filled with love, naps, cake (but of course), sitcom re-runs and RENT playing on starz.

Pretty perfect if you ask me!

Well.....

I'm a Mommy!!!!!

Hence my lack of posts in the new year (which I hope is off to a great start for everyone)

Mr. M & I welcomed our little girl into the world at 11:09A.M. on January 3rd.  Labor was an experience to say the least and probably the most painful thing that I have ever experienced in my entire life (WHAT?!!? I gotta be honest..lol) but it was oh so worth it and although I may be a little biased I'm pretty sure I gave birth to the cutest little girl in the entire world.  She arrived a little earlier than we expected, I was actually due Saturday (1/12) but thank goodness, we had everything ready for her arrival. 

Adjusting to motherhood has been an adventure thus far and involves A LOT of sleep-less nights, dirty diaper changing, picture taking (my cell phone will be out of memory in no time) and cuddling (the very best part) and I couldn't be happier. Mr. M and I are absolutely head over heels in love with this little miracle that we created. 

So while it's a little belated at this point... Happy New Year everyone, I hope 2013 is full of life, love and happiness for you.  

Now I'm off to cuddle with the two loves of my life...
